Century 21Ò Pierce Realty has its main office in Mercer, Wisconsin, ten miles up the road from the office in Manitowish Waters, where I have my desk -- somewhere under all the file folders and loose sheets of paper. Mick Perko- Pierce, lifelong resident of Mercer, is the broker-owner and is the managing broker for both offices. Today I would like to introduce you to the folks in the Manitowish Waters office. The important thing for you to take away is that we all pull together and work as a team to the greatest extent possible.
Sharon manages the office, answers the phone, greets walk-ins, and performs a myriad of other tasks in a friendly, efficient, and extremely capable manner. We are very happy to have her!
Vince Hoehn (i.e., me), REALTOR sales associate, we won’t talk about here, mostly because I am so modest, and as people say, I have much to be modest about. But I should assure you that I have a pretty good handle on the real estate business and know how to best represent a seller’s interests or find just the right property that a buyer is searching for. I also have a pretty good handle on local issues as a result of being a member of the Manitowish Waters Planning Commission.
Tom Thiessen, REALTOR sales associate, has a desk and keeps office hours in both Mercer and Manitowish Waters. He is also the Manitowish Waters Zoning Administrator, a professional surveyor of many years experience, and has a son who is a local contractor. I jokingly refer to him as “Mr. Real Estate, the one-stop shop.” I think he likes it. Tom and I occasionally co-list properties and collaborate on other matters.
Mason (Bob) Werner, REALTOR broker associate, has been in the business since 1975; most of those years as broker-owner, along with wife Patty, of Mason Werner REALTORS in Manitowish Waters -- in the same building now owned and occupied by Pierce Realty. Thirty-three years of experience makes him one of the “oldest” of the “old hands” in the business and I doubt if you could stump him on any real estate related question -- or on the Packers, either.
Patty Werner, REALTOR broker associate, also has over 30 years of real estate experience. When she and Bob opened their office in 1975, real estate in our area was not a year-around business and both of them flourished as the business evolved into what it is today. It seems as if Patty has sold just about every other home or lot on the Manitowish chain at least once during her career, and a number of them twice. If you ever have the opportunity to experience her high energy level way of doing business, you will not doubt that assertion.
Linda Wohlleber, REALTOR broker associate, teams up with Bob and Patty on many listings and transactions. Linda has many years of sales and marketing experience to draw upon as she provides service for her customers and clients. Linda spent all her summers as a child on Rest Lake waterskiing and asserts that “No one knows the chain like Linda.” Also a high energy lady, don’t allow yourself to get caught between her and Patty.
Nancy Volkenning, REALTOR sales associate, former owner and operator of Michael’s Parlor here in town, owns and operates, along with her husband, Pine Lake Lodge in Oma, just north of Mercer. Nancy and her husband have many years of restaurant experience and she prides herself on customer service. Nancy also has a current Illinois real estate license, but has been practicing exclusively here in the Northwoods.
Amy Peterson, REALTOR sales associate, owns and operates, along with her husband, Birch Lake Lodge in Winchester. A successful business owner, Amy knows the people and the area very well. Amy has a very active and successful real estate practice to juggle with her duties at the Lodge.
Dan Johns, REALTOR sales associate and attorney, divides his time between his two professions. He is a graduate of Marquette Law School and has his own law firm. The Johns family goes back a long way in the Manitowish Waters area and family members currently own and operate Little Bohemia Lodge on Little Star Lake. (Maybe you have noticed a pattern here with our office and lodge ownership!)
