It may seem as the whole financial world is going to hell-in-a-handbag, but I am not ready to descend into the bunker quite yet. Today I obtained signed listing contracts for 20 residential building lots (some of them lake lots) at Whitecap Mountain Resort in northern Iron County, Wisconsin, just 8 miles west of Hurley on Hwy 77. And I am quite stoked about it.
Whitecap Mountain is the largest ski resort in Wisconsin with 43 runs on 3 mountains with 8 lifts. It is also an 18 hole championship golf course on those same mountains with 9 more holes under development. It is gorgeous! Bent grass fairways, scenic vistas of the Penokee Range and Chequamegon Bay on the Lake Superior shore, ski-in, ski-out lodging, lots of snow (in the Lake Superior snow belt), and so much more. One resort, three mountains, and four seasons of recreation. (I am trying to think of some way to add two-something to the phrase and then I will have a real slogan.)
The lots I have listed have sanitary district water and sewer and are priced from $34,900 for lots at the base of the mountain to $59,900 for lots on the fairways and ski runs to $99,900 for the lake lots, with a few more scattered inbetween. Now here is the kicker -- for offers accepted in October and December, and closed before the end of the year, the seller will throw in free lifetime ski and golf passes and free lifetime use of the resort's amenities, such as the pools and tennis courts. some restrictions apply, of course, such as that the passes are not assignable. Here's more! For the $59,900 and $99,900 lots, the seller is also throwing in a new Yamaha golf cart!
Even in today's economy, these lots have real value -- take a look at them -- I should have the info posted soon. Featured Listings
