What event is the equivalent, in the minds of many, to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Fourth of July rolled into one? And will be upon us tomorrow? Why, it is the opening day of Wisconsin’s traditional gun deer-hunting season, of course. For the next nine days it definitely will not be business as usual in most of the rural areas of Wisconsin. Plan accordingly, as in many communities it will be difficult to get any kind of business done -- even reach anybody to talk to about business -- until at least December 1st.
Good luck to the hunters! Best wishes for a successful hunt for all even if for no other reason than there are way too many of those four-legged critters wandering around on the roadways.
As an aside, as deer hunting relates to real estate, in all other previous years we would experience quite a few inquiries about hunting land in the weeks immediately preceding opening day. Not so far this year -- another sign of the times.
