Our local multiple listing service, the Greater Northwoods Multiple Listing Service, is in the process of switching vendors of our MLS software and data storage. Beginning this Friday, January 23rd, our present vendor (Realty Server) will begin transferring data to our new vendor (MarketLinx), and if all goes according to plan, at noon Wednesday, January 28th, we will be operating with a new MLS system, InnoVia.
Very little information about the new system has been made available to those of us that are going to be using it -- something I have been finding it hard to fathom -- so I really don’t know what to expect come next Wednesday. Hopefully the learning curve won’t be too steep and there won’t be any negative impacts on my clients and customers.
One area of immediate impact will be on my home page at www.vincehoehn.com. The Today's New Listings table will not be populated until I figure out how to access the data from InnoVia. The same will hold true for the Advanced MLS Search page -- the links will be broken until I can determine out what the new links must be.
