Last October my associate, Tom Thiessen, and I listed nineteen residential lots at Whitecap Mountain, Town of Anderson, Iron County, Wisconsin. For several reasons that I see no need to go into now, the seller, Whitecap Mt. Recreation, Inc., decided almost immediately thereafter that we should not market or otherwise hold out for sale these lots until permission was given at a later date. Well, that later date has arrived.
Before last fall I had never been to the Whitecap Resort, tho it is but a 45 minute drive from Manitowish Waters. (Tom, a land surveyor, is very familiar with the mountain due to his association with Coleman Engineering of Ironwood.) I knew of the Whitecap Ski Resort, of course, and I had a vague knowledge that there was a golf course somewhere around there that supposedly had some stunning views. I did not know that the two were co-located, and I will bet that a good portion of the people vacationing in our area don't know it, either. The first time I saw the Skye Golf Course last fall, my first coherent thought was "How could I have not known of this?"
The Penokee Range, of which Whitecap Mountain is a part of, is very ancient, very rugged, and very scenic, while Skye Golf is absolutely gorgeous.

Eighteen holes of championship golf with nine more under development featuring beautiful bent grass fairways and stunning views everywhere. Forty-three ski runs served by eight lifts. We have nineteen residential lots for sale at prices starting at $39,900 with some right on the course well up the mountain; others on the shore of Weber Lake, and still others at the base of the mountain close to the village center and the lifts. And that is not all!
The seller is extending to purchasers of these lots free life-time ski and golf passes and free use of the resort pools and tennis courts (limit two non-assignable passes per purchase). Consider the value in life-time passes! Plus, the seller will provide a free brand-new Yamaha golf cart to the purchasers of the lots! (Exceptions to the free carts: Lots 35-43.) One may purchase now and get use of his investment immediately -- even before building. After construction, one may contract with the Whitecap Lodging Association to handle rentals and light maintenance and receive an income from the investment.

Tom and I are pretty pumped about these properties. The seller's vision is to create the finest ski and golf resort in the Midwest and is developing a third residential subdivision that will someday add another 20 residential lots to the complex. Check out the links, give Tom or me a call, and come take a look for yourself -- you will be glad that you did. (Hey -- "check out the links" -- that's a pun, right?)
