My past practice has been to not spend much time writing about actual real estate transactions that I am involved in, and I presently reconsidering that approach. I guess my concern is that, unless I talk about it, how is anyone going to know if I am actually doing anything? Real estate-wise, that is.
So, without any further ado, my latest transaction: On Friday my clients accepted a buyer's offer for the purchase of their home in Arbor Vitae. My listing of the property had expired on November 1st and the buyer viewed the property the first time the day before the listing expired. I was able to receive and present the offer under the protected buyer/automatic extension of listing provisions of the listing contract. It's a great property and it attracted a great offer and so far everybody is happy -- I see no reason why it shouldn't stay that way.

I offer as evidence that this is indeed a great property the fact that this property has been under contract almost the entire listing period. It attracted an offer, which was accepted, mere days after listing. Unfortunately, that offer had a sale-of-buyer's-property contingency which the hopeful buyers never were able to satisfy and remove.
